Sadly, in July 2022, Blue Peter and BookTrust announced that the Blue Peter Book Awards had come to an end after more than 20 years. These hugely popular awards celebrated the best children’s books published in the previous twelve months. There were two award categories:
- Best Story
- Best Book with Facts.
A shortlist for each category was chosen by a panel of expert judges, but the winners were chosen by pupils from a selection of primary schools across the UK.
