The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education have created a range of free resources to help raise children’s achievement and attainment in literacy. Based on research and effective classroom practice, the resources cover reading, writing and poetry:

  • Teaching notes for a selection of children’s titles.
  • Teaching approaches to promote engagement and attainment.
  • Whole school teaching units that unite a school around a common theme and provide the opportunity for a whole school celebration of children’s work.
  • Teaching sequences for a selection of picture books as part of the Power of Pictures programme.
  • Research reports covering Reading for Pleasure, Reflecting Realities, Power of Pictures and the Power of Poetry.

Cost: Free with registration.
