Poetry Prompts was Joseph Coelho’s flagship project as the Waterstones Children’s Laureate (2022-2024). For the project, Coelho created a series of short (under 10 minutes), weekly videos to demystify poetry and empower young people to write and perform their own poems.
Each video explores a different subject or poetic technique and brings it to life in a fun and creative way. There is now a library of over 80 Prompts that can be shared with KS1 and KS2 pupils.
Cost: Free
