Coram Beanstalk’s Reading Leaders programme is designed to improve literacy attainment and wider engagement across the curriculum for KS3 students by training older students to support their younger peers.

Students from years 9-13 receive a full day’s training in school from Coram Beanstalk expert trainers to become Reading Leaders. During the training day, the Reading Leaders will develop skills and strategies to enable them to deliver fun, focused, one-to-one literacy support sessions with students two years younger than themselves.

Cost: £995 for 12 students. Additonal students £85 each.

About Coram Beanstalk: Coram Beanstalk (originally called Volunteer Reading Help) is an award-winning national reading charity with over 45 years’ experience of training reading volunteers. It currently has more than 1000 trained volunteers working in schools.
