The Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour is a year-round programme of free events for primary and secondary schools featuring top children’s authors, illustrators, poets and storytellers. The tour hosts events in every local authority in Scotland as well as visiting schools in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Schools can apply to host an in-school event or can register for a live virtual event delivered via Microsoft Teams. Virtual events will then be available to all schools to view on demand.

About the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour: The Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour has been going for over 20 years and is organised by Scottish Book Trust with the support of Scottish Friendly Assurance. Every year the tour reaches an average of 6000 young people from a wide range of communities.
