The Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour is a year-round programme of free in-school and online events for primary and secondary schools featuring top children’s authors, illustrators, poets and storytellers.

The tour hosts live events in every local authority in Scotland, as well as visiting schools in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Schools can apply to host an in-school event using the online application form. Live virtual events are delivered via Microsoft Teams.

About the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour: The Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour has been going for over 20 years and is organised by Scottish Book Trust with the support of Scottish Friendly Assurance. Every year the tour reaches an average of 6000 young people from a wide range of communities.
