Comics in Class is a blog dedicated to graphic novels and comics by experienced primary teacher and graphic novel enthusiast Richard Ruddick.

The blog includes articles on how to use graphic novels and comics to support the literacy curriculum as well as reviews by both Richard and his students.

There is also a padlet with recommendations for graphic novels suitable for KS2 and above.

About Comics in Class: Richard Ruddick is a teacher and literacy lead at a primary academy in Norfolk. He leads an OU/UKLA Teachers’ Reading Group and is regularly invited to talk about graphic novels and their role in developing readers at educational conferences.
