The YA Literature Convention is a convention-style event in London dedicated to celebrating the very best in Young Adult books. The 2026 event will take place from 31st October  – 1st November at the Hilton Metropole, London.

The Convention provides visitors with the opportunity to hear leading YA authors talk about their work and share their top tips at a series of panel events and workshops. The 2026 lineup features over 50 authors, including Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé, Abiola Bello, Holly Bourne, Juno Dawson, Anika Hussain, Ann Sei Lin, Lucas Maxwell, Lauryn Hamilton Murray, Elle McNicoll, Patrick Ness, Alice Osman and Katherine Webber. Cost: £31 for an adult entry for a single day/£18 for a child ticket (5–12) for a single day.

About YALC: The first YA Literature Convention took place in 2014. It was championed by Malorie Blackman and was one of the key projects of her time as Waterstones Children’s Laureate (2013-2015).  The YALC is now run by a Working Group made up of representatives from UK YA Publishers and Showmasters events.
