The IBA Book Club provides the opportunity for young readers across the UK to shadow the judging process for the Information Book Award.
Registered Book Clubs will receive free resources to support discussion and engagement along with an invitation to vote for their favourite titles in the Children’s Choice Award.
In addition, Book Clubs that register their interest before 11th June will be entered into a draw to receive a set of free shortlisted titles in their chosen age category.

Timetable:
- Register your IBA Book Club before 11th June to be in with a chance to win a free set of shortlisted titles.
- The shortlist will be announced on 17th June and shadowing for the Children’s Choice Award begins.
- Voting for the Children’s Choice Award 2025 will close on 18th October.
- The winners of this year’s Information Book Award and the Children’s Choice Award will be announced at the end of November.
Cost: Free with registration.
About the School Library Association: The School Library Association (SLA) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports schools to develop their school library, establish a reading culture and deliver independent learning skill in order to help all children and young people fulfil their potential. In addition, the SLA undertakes research into the benefits of school library provision and campaigns for all schools in the UK to have their own (or shared) staffed library.
